And here is a shot of her biggest fan (i.e., her big brother) helping me make her smile.  He gets bigger smiles from her than anyone and is such a big help with her.

This is the ad that is going out to local high school papers soon, and I am SO excited about it!  Every year I offer a free senior session to a junior who would otherwise be unable to afford senior portraits.  This year I would like to book an entire weekend of sessions to several deserving students.  Times are tough--we're all feeling it.  But I think that senior portraits are such a great way to commemorate your accomplishments ...and get you pumped up and confident about the future ...and are fun to share ...and it is nice to be able to replace the brace-face picture from 7th grade that still hangs in the hallway...  You get the idea!  :)

So I'm sending out mailings to several area high schools and I need YOU to help spread the word also.  If you or someone you know just can't fork over the cash this year, but still is a great kid who deserves great pics, just shoot me an email through the link at the top of this page.  Tell me what the circumstances are and why you/they really want senior pictures.  I'll accept as many as I can and get in touch with you/them to set up the sessions. 

The scholarship sessions will include everything my standard $200 session includes:

• Location session with unlimited clothing/prop changes (location TBA)
• High-res, copyright-free CD with 15-20 fully edited images for you to share/print/copy, etc.
• 4x6 brag book including all of those same images
• 50 wallet-sized 'remember me' cards for sharing

Get those nominations coming--and don't forget to book a session for yourself too!  I'm already taking appointments for the Class of 2011 (and a few 2010ers who missed the memo...haha).  Don't miss out!

Recently had the pleasure of a session with my great friend Betony.  Bless her heart--she's been a bridesmaid and a baby-shower-thrower a million times, all the while waiting for her Mr. Right.  And now she's got him!!  I am SO excited for her and Brandon and can't wait to shoot their wedding in June.

Currently I am looking for:

--A high school female for an 'After Prom' session--must provide your own gown and be willing for it to possibly get a little dirty...meaning the dress, not the session.  :)  Must be available for photography in February.

--Senior Portrait Representatives...will receive a free senior session and personalized business cards in exchange for being an in-school representative (i.e., spreading the word) for Natalie Shivers Photography.  I will need at least one, possibly two, JUNIOR students (male or female) from the following high schools:  Stockbridge, Union Grove, Henry County, Eagle's Landing, Locust Grove, Woodland, Ola, Dutchtown, Luella, and Jackson.  Don't see your private school listed?  Email me for more information.  Must be available for photography in February / March.

--Locations, locations, locations--own (or have access to) a picture-perfect setting?  If you're willing to share it for use during a portrait session, you'll get your own session free!  Farms, fields, factories, hotels, gardens, antique homes...I'm always looking for new places to shoot.

I am back in business after taking off some time with my new daughter.  I am excited to get started with 2010--I have lots of new ideas and some changes are coming soon, including studio sessions and print fulfillment.  More on those soon, as all the details are ironed out.
