I know, I know--Labor Day is barely over and I'm already talking about Christmas!  I normally do my holiday card business in October and November, but this year I'll be getting an early Christmas present (my daughter) in November, so everything has to be done a bit sooner. 

So, if you can get yourself in the spirit a little earlier, you'll score a great deal!  I am holding three "Holiday Card Sessions" in September and October (9/19, 9/26 and 10/3). 

These $150 'mini' sessions are a fabulous price and include:

• 30-minute session--with as many different poses/groups as possible
• Editing and retouching--so you look your best on your holiday card!
• Bragbook--4x6 spiral-bound book of your edited proofs to show off
• Copyright-free, high-resolution image CD for your use--print extra pictures anywhere you want
• 25 personalized holiday cards--individually designed just for you (higher quantities available)

This is normally a $250 value, so the Early Bird saves $100!!

SESSION DATES AND LOCATIONS:

Saturday, September 19th - Indian Springs State Park - Flovilla, GA

• Background examples here.
• Clothing:  Dressy outfits or casual; barefeet if shooting near the water (morning appointments)
• Great scene for family portraits to be displayed year-round
• $5.00 (cash) State Park parking fee required!

Saturday, September 26th - Orchard Hills "Historic" District - Orchard Hills, Spalding County, GA

• Background examples here.
• Clothing:  Casual or 'edgy' outfits--i.e., patterned/designer/mix-matched, etc.
• Great scene for family portraits to be displayed year-round

Saturday, October 3rd - "Winter Woodland" Scene - Locust Grove, GA

• No background example to show because this is a one-time set up.  It will be in the wooded area behind my house, complete with snow-flocked Christmas trees. 
• If there is enough interest, I may hire a Santa as well--sessions with Santa will be an additional $25.  Please inquire when making your appointment.
• Clothing:  Casual or Dressy outfits; Hats/mittens/etc.; Holiday-themed outfits
• Best setting if you want true "holiday" pictures for your cards, less appropriate for year-round portrait displays

ADDITIONAL INFO:

Please...arrive in the outfits that you will be wearing for your portraits, or arrive early in order to change.  Sessions will be booked 'back-to-back' so tardy arrivals will result in a shortened session time. 

Clothing...the primary prop will be the dark red/burgandy loveseat that is shown in the above examples, so you may want to plan your outfits around that.  We won't necessarily use it in all of the shots, but it will facilitate many poses.  See each location description for clothing recommendations. 

Cards...I will be using a great set of card templates from Sassy Cat Designs and Grady Bug Designs for the holiday cards.  See here for examples.  Each card can be personalized to match your clothing choices and to include your names and specific greeting if desired.  The cards are no-fold, 2-sided, 5x7 cards with white envelopes.  Folded cards are available for a small extra charge--please inquire when ordering. 

Timeline...Your CD, bragbook, and cards will be mailed to you within 3 weeks of your session date.  Plenty of time for you to be the first person on your block ready for the holiday card mail-a-thon.  :)  "Sneak peeks" will be on this blog and facebook too.

Appointments...Appointment times are first-come, first-serve, so call 770-305-9013 asap to book your spot.  Payment in full is due by cash or check payable to Natalie Shivers on the day of your session.  Because there are only a limited number of sessions available, PLEASE call to cancel your appointment if you will not be able to make it. 

Weather...Because these sessions are outdoors, there is always a chance of rain.  If it is raining on the morning of your appointment, please call me at 770-305-9013 to determine if your session has been cancelled.  Every attempt will be made to reschedule any sessions missed due to weather.
