It has been a busy, busy, busy month for April and May--and I am so blessed because of that! Here are a few quick updates from past sessions...and there are several more to come. Lisa and I have been trying since she was pregnant with this cutie pie to get pictures done. Because of my maternity leave, the holidays, and a move, we weren't able to make it happen until now. Needless to say, these are not maternity pictures--instead I got to work with Connor himself, a strapping 6-months-old. He wasn't feeling great but did SO good and I had a lot of fun with him and his parents.
Thanks guys for finally making it happen--I'm so glad it did!

Jennifer is an awesome painter who does original work, murals, paintings from portraits, and all sorts of things that we all wish we could do, but can't.
But she can, and she does it really well. She made name paintings for both of my children's nurseries and recently made a painting from one of Avery's pictures. Here are a few examples.

And here is a shot of her biggest fan (i.e., her big brother) helping me make her smile. He gets bigger smiles from her than anyone and is such a big help with her.

His smile was playing hard to get, but as his parents say, his little "squishy" face is just too cute anyway.

This is the ad that is going out to local high school papers soon, and I am SO excited about it! Every year I offer a free senior session to a junior who would otherwise be unable to afford senior portraits. This year I would like to book an entire weekend of sessions to several deserving students. Times are tough--we're all feeling it. But I think that senior portraits are such a great way to commemorate your accomplishments ...and get you pumped up and confident about the future ...and are fun to share ...and it is nice to be able to replace the brace-face picture from 7th grade that still hangs in the hallway... You get the idea! :)
So I'm sending out mailings to several area high schools and I need YOU to help spread the word also. If you or someone you know just can't fork over the cash this year, but still is a great kid who deserves great pics, just shoot me an email through the link at the top of this page. Tell me what the circumstances are and why you/they really want senior pictures. I'll accept as many as I can and get in touch with you/them to set up the sessions.
The scholarship sessions will include everything my standard $200 session includes:

Recently had the pleasure of a session with my great friend Betony. Bless her heart--she's been a bridesmaid and a baby-shower-thrower a million times, all the while waiting for her Mr. Right. And now she's got him!! I am SO excited for her and Brandon and can't wait to shoot their wedding in June.
